The invisible individual.

Cinema - Festa di Roma was a success as both industry event and public spectacle. It is the first festival of its size to adopt this winning approach (choosing to highlight both public involvement and the trade sector) and make it work for the first edition. Industry professionals and public audiences alike witnessed works of genius, laughing and crying together. Emotions belong to everyone.
At Cinema, these different members of the audience grew closer together, just like fact and fiction do in movies. We are all part of the same great story, inseparable. In this case, these two groups were brought together by wonderful films, but the concept can be extended to other fields. Just imagine consumers and corporations getting together to talk about products, services, problems, solutions. Imagine end users getting together with software producers. Imagine the general public meeting with the media. We would all go further than we've ever gone before. We all benefit from cooperation.

Cinema, Festa di Roma was a subtle success as it illustrates the harmony in these universal principles. Spectators and journalists, filmmakers and restauranteurs, everyone came together for a few days, joined by a unique passion - an art that can make you feel happy and sad, all at the same time. The ultimate proof: the people's jury, one that included professionals and homebodies, actors and nurses, students and professors. They came together to award prizes, and did so in a very pure manner, free from economic or political constraints. The result was an outstanding display of unity and competence. And so, now, we all look forward to seeing the group of winning films, the result of this combined effort, in theatres in Italy and abroad. And we wish movies and Cinema - Festa di Roma the best of luck.
